Important Changes to the Hazardous Materials Information Review Commission (HMIRC) Legislation and Regulations

Amendments to the Hazardous Materials Information Review Act (HMIRA), the Hazardous Materials Information Review Regulations (HMIRR) and to the Hazardous Materials Information Review Act Appeal Board Procedures Regulations came into force on October 1, 2008.

The amendments to the Hazardous Materials Information Review Act (HMIRA) received Royal Assent and became law (Chapter 7 of the Statutes of Canada 2007) on March 29, 2007 but could not come into force until required regulatory amendments were made.
